Let's be in touch!

If you would like to know more about me or my work, if you need some help or you have a volunteer project which fits with me, let’s be in touch and it will be a pleasure to contribute. Also, I’m available for a coffee/teacup (without sugar) and a piece of pie.

About

I’m an Asian Brazilian who lives in São Paulo and like reading, writing, listening to music, going to the movies, walking with my dog and traveling. I practice meditation and try to draw sometimes. Also, I consider myself as a beach passionate and a hard competitor Rummikub player.

I love ice cream, seafood and Japanese cuisine but I’m the kind of person who is open to try different tastes and not only with food but in all the things I can, I try to live different experiences – that’s what motivates me in many aspects of my life.

Since very little I was curious about several subjects – that’s why I got majors in Biological Sciences with focus on Ecology, IT for Business and Design. I also studied Business Project Management and Technology education as a graduate, did a Master of Science in Energy Planning & Environment and a MBA in UX Design & Strategy.

Because of my curiosity and different fields of studies I had the opportunity to work at NGOs, universities, technology, educational and financial companies.

Currently I work as a UX Designer at Rabobank Brazil interacting with designers from different regions around the globe.

Maybe there is one more point you would like to know about my work…what is my process?

It depends on the project, the company culture, people and resources but always when is possible, my process starts with the exploration phase. On that, I try to have an holistic view, identifying the real problem and trying to understand the current people journey, not only the end users but all the teams who are involved on that. To do it, I talk to different people/teams/users – I make interviews, observation seasons, research (primary/secondary, depending on the scenario), always when is possible an ethnography and very often a desk research. Past static data are included whenever it is possible (and I appreciate working with data).

Once I have mapped and identified the problems, it’s time to invest efforts in possible solutions – think how things should be organized having in mind the experience and business impacts (I usually start with my favorites and rustic instruments: paper and pencil). Co-creations are welcome, and I try to involve different stakeholders on that.

Then, it’s time to create some prototypes and test them. After that, focus on implementation work and more interaction with other teams.

Refinements are expected during the whole process. The way I do my deliveries is also an important part of the experience and one point I consider in my process.
